Here’s a new track about cantaloupe, bike, rides, and grinning in the sun.

I made it July while the sun was shining and there was brief relief from some of the 2020 blues.

For the percussion, I wanted it to sound like summer, so I asked a bunch of friends what kinds of sounds reminded them of summer and got back a long list of ideas. I recorded a bunch of them foley-style either out in the field or in my house with the utensils I could gather. I got
🚴‍♀️ bike tires spinning
🌿grass crunching
🍈 fruit chopping
🧰 tools clicking and hammering
👣 feet stomping
etc.

After tracking, I chopped them up and used them as the percussion for the track. It was a lot of fun to make.
